| Peter Adams | Executive Director |
| padams@skimhs.org | Peter joined MHS on July 1, 2009. He brings 23 years of executive leadership with the USA’s largest disability insurer, Unum. In addition he is the President of the Maine Island Trail Association and a board member of the World Affairs Council. Peter is a past member of the National Ski Patrol and has participated in the Ski-A-Thon. Please see the press release to read more about Peter and his excitement about joining MHS. |
| Joanne Mercier | Executive Assistant |
| jmercier@skimhs.org | Joanne joined the MHS staff in the Spring of 2005. She organizes many aspects of the Ski-A-Thon event. Joanne also handles the bookkeeping for the program as well as fundraising follow up. |
| Judy Sullivan | Program Director |
| jsullivan@skimhs.org | Judy has been at MHS since 1997, when she relocated to the Bethel area. 1999 was her first year as Volunteer Coordinator, and by 2005, she took over the responsibilities of Program Director. She develops new programming, coordinates all volunteers and manages our day-to-day programs |
| Diane Barras | Program Coordinator |
| dbarras@skimhs.org | Diane has been working with MHS since 2005, but spent many years volunteering in the adaptive recreation field while obtaining her masters degree in Occupational Therapy from Ithaca college. At MHS she coordinates scheduling of the participants, oversees daily programs, and heads the MHS Alpine Race program. |
| Eric Topper | Director of Outreach |
| etopper@skimhs.org | New to MHS last February, Eric brings an extensive non-profit program management and outreach background. Most of that work has centered around outdoor education and recreation programs throughout New England, including a long career with Outward Bound. Eric lives in Portland, but his job involves frequent travel throughout the state and region promoting MHS. |
| Lizz Peacock | Internal Support Coordinator |
| lpeacock@skimhs.org | An avid telemarker, Lizz comes to MHS from Outward Bound where she was the Logistics Coordinator. Lizz has also worked for Sunday River as a lift attendant and Front Desk supervisor at the Snow Cap Inn. At MHS Lizz is responsible for coordinating the scheduling of participants and volunteers and supporting the program side of operations. |
| Saranne Taylor | Cross Country Program Coordinator |
| Saranne has been teaching nordic skiing and snowshoeing since 2000. Previous to that she volunteered at MHS in the Alpine Center for 2 seasons. Saranne works at the Sunday River Inn and Cross Country Ski Center and Pineland Farms coordinating the nordic volunteers and participants. | |
| Toby Burdet | Sugarloaf Program Coordinator |
| tburdet@skimhs.org | Toby started working with MHS in 2006, after volunteering for many years. Toby is responsible for coordinating the participants and volunteers at our weekend downhill and snowboarding program at Sugarloaf. |
| Kent Harlow | Equipment Coordinator |
| Kent joins the staff this winter after volunteering in the equipment room last year. He brings a variety of mechanical skills he gained from his work as Reliability Engineer MeadWestvaco, Assistant Superintendant at the Sunday River Golf Course and Parks Director of Rumford. Kent helps repair and maintain all types of adaptive ski and snowboard equipment and fits participants to the appropriate equipment. | |

| Gootsch repairs and maintains all the equipment and assists in fitting participants with equipment. | |
